NOT for Emergency Help! Call 911
Obtain a prescription for Narcan (naloxone) to treat overdoses from fentanyl & other opioids.
You can obtain a prescription for Narcan (naloxone) to have available in case of an opioid overdose (fentanyl, etc.) in your home or elsewhere.
Keeping Narcan (naloxone) at your home or business in no way implies that you are anticipating an opioid overdose is likely to occur or that you know of dangerous or illegal activities taking place.
This request for Narcan is for the sake of being responsible and having a life-saving tool in the event of an accidental opioid overdose.
We have partnered with Alto Pharmacy to offer free delivery/shipment to your home.
Robert S. Marks, MD
Approximately every 8 minutes, a person dies from an opioid overdose.
Illegal Fentanyl and other opioids are flooding our streets and schools, often concealed or mixed with other substances.
Narcan (naloxone) is a potentially lifesaving medication designed to help reverse the effects of an opioid overdose in minutes.
An Opioid Overdose Can Happen at Any Time
It is important to know that opioid overdose emergencies can occur at any time, even when opioids are used as prescribed.
Knowing the signs of an opioid overdose and how to administer naloxone properly can potentially save a life.

Not necessarily. We encourage you to call your local pharmacy and ask if they have a program to allow people to buy narcan without a prescription. Having a prescription may significantly decrease the cost you pay for the medicine, as insurance usually covers the drug. We established this Stop The OD as a way to streamline the process and make it as easy as possible for people to get Narcan.
During the intake process, you will enter your insurance information. We will submit a claim to your insurance for your telemedicine visit, which is necessary in order to establish you as a patient and provide a prescription.
The pharmacy will charge separately for the Narcan. With the prescription, most health insurances will cover it.
We offer this consultation for a $25 fee if you do not have insurance. However, if you don’t have health insurance, we encourage you to contact your local pharmacy to see if you can self-pay for Narcan without a prescription.
No, this is available for anyone that is over 18 and is a resident of Texas.
No, you can have a prescription for Narcan even if you are not currently on or around opioids. Being prepared for emergencies is important.
For this specific appointment, we will only address opioid safety and Narcan/Naloxone use and education.
If you are interested in making an appointment to discuss other medical concerns, please call us at 512-981-7246.
Please check out this website to learn about Narcan.
This website provides resources for mental health and substance use. We do not offer these services. If you are having an emergency, it is best to call 911.
Zero. We arranged this program with them because they had the capability to deliver Narcan throughout the state of Texas, but we have zero financial ties to Alto pharmacy whatsoever. We’re happy to send the prescription to any pharmacy you desire.
